Cardiac Prevention Assessments

An average of 1.5 million heart attacks occur each year in the United States. Half of these people have “normal” cholesterol levels and have had no red flags indicating pending cardiac trouble.

  • 80% of people who suffer heart attacks have the same cholesterol levels as people who don’t suffer heart attacks!
  • 80% of all coronary heart disease is linked to genetic causes – yet the standard cholesterol tests are not designed to screen for even the most common genetic indicators.

This means there must be other prevention tools to assess one’s cardiovascular risks besides just a simple cholesterol panel (HDL, LDL, and Triglycerides).

Single Cardiac Risk factors include:

  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Metabolic Syndrome
  • Obesity
  • Smoking
  • Rheumatiod Arthritis
  • Family History
  • Anxiety
  • Abnormal Cholesterol Levels
  • Periodontal Disease
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Insulin Resistance
  • Post-Tramatic Stress Disorder
  • Psoriasis
  • Pre-eclampsia
  • Gestational Diabetes
